Picture
Located in the Sothern Tip of the Suez Canal, Suez has been a commercial port since the seventh century. What made this city so prosperous over the numerous amounts of years? Well, when people, specifically Muslims, went to on their pilgrimage to Mecca, they would stop around Suez because of its location. Because of the Muslims traveling to Mecca, Suez became a very prosperous city in the Middle Ages. This city soon became a naval base in the fifteenth century and, in 1869, the Suez Canal opening let the people know about the development as a modern city. Now today, Suez is one of Egypt's biggest ports. Suez also has a good viewing of Mt. Sinai and the Red Sea, which are both very pretty sites. And seven watching ships pass from under the canal can get interesting, if you are willing to have an open mind and be imaginative.
