Come to Egypt

Picture
The city of Alexandria is widely known as “The Pearl of the Mediterranean.” In ancient times, Alexandria was actually one of the most famous cities in the world. Founded by Alexander the Great in 331 B.C., Alexandria became the capital of Graeco-Roman Egypt for close to 1,000 years. Alexandria is widely known for the Lighthouse of Alexandria, one of the Seven Wonders of the World, their Library, (biggest in the world), and their Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa, one of the Seven Wonders of the Middle ages. This city was the center of learning in the ancient world. But, unfortunately, Ancient Alexandria declined, and when Napoleon found it, it was a sparsely populated fishing village. Now, scientist are saying in the near future that there might me a underwater exhibit! Modern Alexandria is now a place to just view in anyway. Most importantly to enlighten yourself in the atmosphere and admire the sites. The old and new Alexandria are both unique, and defiantly are both great places to visit.
